Visa Malaysia Sends Volunteers to Help in Malaysian Red Crescent Society Flood Relief Efforts


Global payments technology company, Visa, has stepped forward to offer help in the Malaysian flood relief efforts by sending volunteers to help at the Malaysian Red Crescent Society (MRCS) Headquarters in addition to providing financial aid. 

Visa Malaysia employees took the afternoon off to volunteer their time and effort to help with the unloading, packing and sorting of disaster relief items to be sent to the flood-hit areas. Together with Visa Country Manager for Malaysia, Ng Kong Boon, Visa employees transported over 400 boxes of critically needed goods and medical supplies such as toothbrushes, kitchen cutleries, blankets and more.

“Our hearts go out to all the Malaysian families who have lost their homes and possessions due to the flood disaster. At Visa, we believe it is important for us to contribute and give back to the community where we work and live in. Being able to help out in this volunteerism initiative is a humbling experience for all of us. We want to support the community as much as we can so that they can return to their everyday lives as quickly as possible,” said Ng Kong Boon, Visa Country Manager for Malaysia.
